I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your consistent support during my congressional campaign. It was an honor running to represent Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District for U.S. Congress, and while the outcome was not what we wanted, the experience of meeting and getting to know the fine people of CD-5 was the privilege of a lifetime. It was moving to watch our community come together to fight for our voice, our values, and better representation. Without question, my favorite part of this journey was spending time with all of you.
Our team was an extraordinary group of believers, and the energy and dedication from friends, family, and members of the community kept our morale high throughout this race. Even during a national pandemic, you all never hesitated to help out or support our efforts — whether it was hosting meet-and-greets, placing yard signs, forwarding emails to spread the word online, or sending donations at the end of each month. I simply cannot put into words my gratitude for your support over the past several months!
To the 12,915 who supported our mission and trusted me to lead with compassion and change at the forefront of my actions, I say “Thank You,” from the bottom of my heart. The future of our country is worth fighting for, and you will continue to be an integral part of this never-ending fight. President Reagan said it best: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”
As we move forward as a district, state, and nation, I am confident that our campaign gave everything we had to make change by empowering people, speaking out for our values, and standing up for what we believe in. Our efforts to fix congress and fight for our voices will not go unnoticed. Through this journey, we learned a lot. I will certainly do everything I can do to help the Republican nominee win this seat and bring conservative representation back to Oklahoma’s 5th District to ensure ours is a country that upholds freedom and liberty above all else, not just for our generation, but for generations to come.
